A book were I try to make special Icelandic patterns for knitting.
After looking at the eightpointed star (is. áttablaðarós) that most icelanders know and presume is Icelandic or a Scandinavian pattern I realized that was not the case. The eightpointed star can be found all over the world in many forms of craft and out side the craft world. In the book you can find new variations of this well known pattern. The variations are for knitted mittens and are to be looked at as a whole, that way each mitten becomes a part of a bigger picture, bigger than just a pair. This way I create new and unconventional variations of patterns for mittens.
